A crime scene is in place in a Swindon car park after a teenage boy was knifed outside a nightclub in the early hours of today, Wiltshire Police says.
Police were called to the scene in Hooper’s Place, Old Town, at around 4.45am this morning (28 August) following reports of a violent street fight.
A 17-year-old boy sustained a serious stab injury and was taken to hospital. He is understood to be in a stable condition.

An 18-year-old man is also being treated in hospital for an injury sustained during the incident – his injuries are not described as serious.
Officers are guarding the cordon in Hooper’s Place between Siam Thai restaurant and Subway, with a pool of blood and bloody clothing covered by a forensic tent.
Detective Sergeant Justin Downes of Swindon CID said: “This was a concerning incident during which a young man suffered a potentially life-threatening injury.
“There were plenty of people outside the nightclub at the time of this incident – about 4.45am.
“We would appeal for anyone who witnessed this disorder to get in touch. We would also ask anyone who may have captured mobile phone footage of what took place not to share it, but to contact us as a matter of urgency.
“We would like to reassure the community that this was an isolated incident and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.”
