A cyclist’s in hospital after being hit by a car on a roundabout in Chippenham.
Emergency services were called to the scene outside Lidl in Hungerdown Lane, at the junction for Bristol Road, at around 6pm on Thursday evening (28 May).
The road traffic collision involved a man riding a bicycle and a white Vauxhall Corsa – which suffered a significant bullseye to the windscreen.
The cyclist was taken to hospital for treatment. Though, Wiltshire Police say his injuries are “believed to be minor” despite the impact.
The force confirmed that nobody was arrested in connection with the crash.
The incident comes just weeks after a cyclist was struck by a driver who fled in the same area. A man, aged in his 30s, sustained serious injuries.
