A CCTV image shows two acid attack suspects in a village near Chippenham.
Police have launched a manhunt for two men who are believed to have carried out a serious assault in Devon in the early hours of Friday morning (21 February).
A man, aged in his 20s, is understood to be fighting for his life in hospital following an acid attack at a property in Lipson Road, Plymouth.
The suspects – who are described as black males aged in their early 20s and wearing black clothing – were later spotted in the village of Grittleton, around seven miles north-west of Chippenham.

According to a local resident, the pair were knocking on doors asking to charge a mobile phone, claiming their car had broken down.
It’s said that a villager allowed them the opportunity to charge the device, before giving them a lift to Chippenham railways station.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Enquiries have led officers to look for witnesses who may have seen two men in their early 20s in the Grittleton area, close to the M4.
“The men are both described as being black males, in their early 20s, wearing all black clothing. It is believed they were in and around the Grittleton area on the morning of Friday (21/02).”
They added: “Officers investigating the assault are appealing for anyone who lives around the Grittleton area to check their CCTV and doorbell footage.
“Equally, officers are keen to hear from anyone driving in the area at the time with relevant dash-cam footage.
