A casualty was taken to hospital following a crash near Fairford this morning (Thursday).
Emergency services attended the road traffic collision on the A417 at around 10.45am.
At least two vehicles – including an Audi A5 – were involved at the junction with Meysey Hampton village.
Several police vehicles, a fire engine and two ambulances were on scene, according to a witness.
Debris was left strewn across the busy A-road as officers arranged for the vehicles to be recovered. The route was blocked for a short time, with a lane open past the scene at 11.30am.
Gloucestershire Constabulary confirmed that paramedics assessed the occupants of the cars involved, which resulted in one casualty being taken to Great Western Hospital in Swindon as a precaution.
