Emergency services are dealing with a two-vehicle crash on the M4 near Swindon.
The incident happened at around 6pm this evening (Tuesday, 16 August) on the motorway westbound.
Police, fire and ambulance crews are in attendance at the road traffic collision between junctions 16 (Swindon) and 17 (Chippenham).
Two vehicles, a white BMW and a black Audi, veered off the carriageway and came to rest in the undergrowth.
Wiltshire Police say the occupants have suffered only minor injuries.
There are lengthy delays past the scene, but the motorway remains open.
‘With some rain now on the rods please bear this in mind before planting the loud pedal’, a roads policing unit (RPU) spokesperson commented.
Adding: ‘Drive to the conditions please’.
