Two people have been rushed to hospital after a car crashed into a tree in Swindon.
Emergency services were called to a single-vehicle road traffic collision in Idovers Drive in Toothill shortly after 12.30pm this afternoon (Friday).
The incident involved a blue Volkswagen Golf and a tree on the junction for Harlech Close.

After impacting the tree on the 30mph stretch, the vehicle veered backwards – crossing the carriageway and a patch of grass, and coming to rest on the pavement.
South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) sent three ambulance crews, a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle and an operations officer to the scene.
Great Western Air Ambulance Charity were also dispatched, with critical care medics responding in a rapid response vehicle.

Two fire engines and numerous police vehicles – including traffic units – were also at the incident, which blocked the road in all directions.
A SWASFT spokesperson confirmed that two patients were conveyed to the Great Western Hospital by land ambulance for further treatment.
Wiltshire Police said one man was taken to hospital, and recovery work was underway at 2.15pm – with the road clear by around 2.30pm.
What caused the crash is unclear at this stage.
