Firefighters are currently tackling a major blaze in Keswick Road in Park South, Swindon.
It’s understood that the fire initially involved a shed or garage-like structure in the garden of the property, but has since spread to three houses.
Five fire engines are on scene, two from Stratton, two from Swindon and one from Westlea. The road is closed in both directions as the emergency services atttebd the scene.
Some residents have reported a number of explosions, due to gas canisters in the garden.
A Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Avoid the area if possible and we advise all neighbouring properties to keep windows and doors closed at this time.”
The British Red Cross has been dispatched to the incident to provide support to the occupiers. It is not yet clear if anyone’s been hurt.
