A body has been found in public toilet near Salisbury Cathedral.

Wiltshire Police attended an incident in Lush House car park toilets shortly after 8.00am yesterday morning, Tuesday 14 February, where a man was found unconscious.

South Western Ambulance Service paramedics were in attendance but sadly the man could not be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Formal identification of the man, who is aged 40, has not yet been completed but next of kin have been informed, Wiltshire Police confirm.

A police spokesperson said: “We are not treating the death as suspicious but the circumstances are currently unexplained and an investigation is ongoing.”
