A large area around Bourne Hill Police Station in Salisbury has been cordoned off by the police this afternoon, as the army move into the recover police cars.
The vehicles being recovered are likely to have been the ones used to respond to the poisoning of former Russian spy Sergei Skripal, 66, and his daughter Yulia, 33, on 4 March.
Army personnel can be seen getting dressed in green protective suits next to an Incident Response Unit from South Western Ambulance Service, which is also at the scene.
The police station, which doesn’t have a custody suite, is shared with Wiltshire Council.
It’s understood that eight vehicles will be taken to Porton Down.
