A338 closed as firefighters tackle significant lorry fire in Collingbourne Kingston

The A338 is currently closed in both directions while firefighters tackle a lorry fire.

Emergency services were first called to the scene in Collingbourne Kingston at 9.40am today (5 August).

The road is closed at the Collingbourne Kingston junction with Brunton on the north side and at the junction with Chicks Lane and Cadley Road.

The route is expected to remain closed for several hours for recovery work.

“Please avoid the area while the incident is dealt with by colleagues from the fire service”, a Wiltshire Police spokesperson said.
