A man’s been taken to hospital after becoming seriously ill at a church in Swindon.
Two ambulances and Wiltshire Air Ambulance raced to the scene at St Mary’s Catholic Church on Tovey Road at around 11.15am this morning.
The helicopter landed on the field in front of the church, and was surrounded by children while critical care medics attended the medical incident just a stone’s throw away.
The patient was stabilised at the scene and taken to Great Western Hospital by land ambulance.
