A golf club near Swindon has been targeted in five separate arson attacks.

Since 25 March, numerous fires at Wrag Barn Golf and Country Club in Highworth, have been reported to Wiltshire Police.

At least five fire-related incidents have resulted in hundreds of pounds worth of damage, affecting both the infrastructure and the fabric of the course.

Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area during this period. They are also seeking any information that could assist in their investigation.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses to a series of arson incidents that have taken place at Wrag Barn Golf & Country Club.

“Since March 25, there have been at least five suspicious fires that have damaged property and the fabric of the course causing hundreds of pounds worth of damage.

“If you witnessed any of these incidents, or have any information then please contact 101 quoting reference 54250045761.

“Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

“You can also report a crime on the Wiltshire Police website at www.wiltshire.police.uk.”
