A serious incident has closed the A420 in both directions near Swindon.
Emergency services were called to the major route between Shrivenham and Watchfield at around 9.30am this morning (Wednesday).
Early speculation suggests a person has been hit by a vehicle, but this has not be confirmed by authorities at this stage.
The road is closed at the Lawrence Avenue Roundabout and Watchfield Roundabout as 999 crews attend the scene.
There are significant traffic delays in the area – motorists should find alternative routes.
