A420 near Swindon blocked as emergency services attend crash

The A420 is blocked near Swindon as emergency services attend a crash.

At least one vehicle appears to have sustained significantly in the incident at about 8pm today (Friday).

The road has been closed by police between Gablecross Roundabout and the junction for South Marston.

All three emergency services are believed to be at the scene.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Please be aware that the A420 near South Marston is currently blocked in both directions due to a road traffic collision.

“A closure is being put in place near the Gablecross Roundabout and on the other side of the RTC near Old Vicarage Lane. Drivers are urged to avoid the area.”
