A Wiltshire man has pleaded guilty to strangling a teenage girl in a drunken rage.

Guy Skinner, 61, admitted putting his hands around the throat of the youngster in 2022 when he appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (16 March).

The defendant, of Lottage Road, Aldbourne, accepted charges of non-fatal intentional strangulation and assault by beating of the teenage girl – who is known to him.

Prosecutor Kate Prince said the attack occurred following an argument. The window cleaner pushed her over and strangled her for a few seconds.

The magistrates adjourned the case for an all-options pre-sentence report to be compiled. Skinner was released on bail with conditions not to contact his victim.
