There are traffic delays after a van crashed into a telegraph pole and wall in Salisbury.

Emergency services were called to the road traffic collision on A345 Castle Road, near the junction with Butts Road, at some point before 5am this morning (17 June).

The area has been coned and taped off by police – possible due to a telegraph pole being involved.

Locals report that BT was in attendance shortly after 5am, but are no longer at the scene.

The road is closed northbound, whilst the southbound carriageway remains open to traffic.

Wiltshire Police has been approached for comment.
