Cricklade Road is closed in both directions following serious crash tonight.
The busy Swindon road has been closed by police as the ambulance service tend to an injured motorcyclist at the junction with Grafton Road (Penhill).
The incident happened at around 8.45pm, and the road isn’t expected to reopen for some time. It’s unclear whether there will be a collision investigation at this stage.
It’s understood that one motorbike and one car were involved.
The nature of the injuries sustained by the motorcyclist, who was riding on L-plates, isn’t currently known, but they aren’t thought to be life-threatening.
