The police helicopter was called into to help officers during a pursuit in Swindon this morning.
At around 3am today, a white Vauxhall Mokka tried to escape from police by driving along town centre alleyways before the occupants of the vehicle ditched it and fled on foot.
Following the pursuit, with support of the National Police Air Service and a police dog unit, officers searched the area and detained the female passenger.
A short time after, the driver was arrested – on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop for police and driving without a licence. They remain in custody at this time.
