A property in Frome has been shut down for three months following repeated reports of anti-social behaviour, suspected drug dealing and criminal damage.
Bath Magistrates’ Court granted a Closure Order for the flat in Blackberry Road after Avon and Somerset Police presented evidence of ongoing problems.
Officers said residents had reported intimidation, disturbances during the day and night, drug use and suspected drug dealing.
The incidents also included criminal damage, with vehicles reportedly damaged and set alight.
PC Jake Quinn and PCSO Shelley Day, from the Frome Neighbourhood Policing Team, attended court alongside anti-social behaviour co-ordinator Julie to present evidence.
The three-month order prevents anyone other than authorised individuals from entering the property.
Police said the action was intended to protect neighbouring residents from further nuisance, crime and harm.
The force thanked members of the community who had continued to report incidents and provide information about the property.
Officers said their support had been instrumental in securing the Closure Order.
Anyone who breaches the order could face arrest and prosecution.
