The driver of a powerful Mustang has pleaded guilty to a string of crimes after leading police on a pursuit in the Swindon area.
Officers responded to reports of the car being driven dangerously on the M4 westbound in Wiltshire at around 9pm on Wednesday (8 July).
When the police attempted to stop the offending Ford Mustang, the driver made off as speed – taking Junction 15 the wrong way.

The driver then joined the A419 and after turning onto the A420 towards Faringdon, officers made tactical contact to bring the car to an immediate stop.
Martin Stokes, 20, of no fixed abode, was charged with dangerous driving, assaulting an emergency worker, criminal damage, driving whilst disqualified, threats to kill and using a vehicle without insurance.
The defendant, whose Mustang was on Irish plates, pleaded guilty to all crimes at Swindon Magistrates Court this morning (Friday) – having been remanded in police custody.
The court further remanded him to prison ahead of a sentencing hearing at Swindon Crown Court on 21 August.
PC Ben Greening, of the Roads Policing Unit, said: “This was some of the most dangerous driving we have witnessed and I am thankful that he has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance – his actions put so many road users lives at risk and it is incredibly lucky that nobody was injured as a result of his actions.”
