A fundraiser has been launched to help the family of Sarah Crook pay for her funeral.
The nurse and mum-of-six died after her car was struck by a van on the A419 flyover at White Hart Roundabout at around 8.30am on Friday morning (5 June).
Hundreds of people have paid tribute to Sarah, who worked at the Great Western Hospital, describing her as caring, compassionate, beautiful and dedicated to nursing.
Friend and fellow nurse Leanne Fertnig has launched a fundraiser to help her family pay for the funeral. Donations have hit £6,390 today.
On GoFundMe, she wrote: “I would like to help Sarah’s family at this devastating time. Sarah was one in a million, she was so kind and would help anyone. She leaves behind her husband and 6 wonderful children.
“Nothing could ever take away the pain that her family will feel from such a loss, but if we could offer a small comfort by helping with the expensive funeral costs and giving Sarah the send off she deserves it would be much appreciated.
“Sarah you will be truly missed, you will leave a hole in the hearts of so many.” Donate here >
