An arrest has been made after a teen suffered serious wounds in an attack in Chippenham.
Detectives have launched an investigation following an assault outside The Black Horse pub in New Road in the early hours of Saturday 9 May.
A 19-year-old man was struck to the face, sustaining serious injuries. He was taken to hospital for urgent treatment following the incident.
A man, also aged 19, was arrested later that morning suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent, and has been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “The incident is reported to have taken place between midnight and 1am on Saturday 9th May 2026 outside the Black Horse Pub on New Road in the centre of Chippenham.
