There are delays on the A420 after a car burst into flames just over the Wiltshire border.
Emergency services were called to a vehicle fire in Buckland, near Faringdon, at around 4pm this afternoon (Wednesday).
A red Skoda Yeti caught alight at the side of the road – but the occupants were able to escape before the inferno took hold.
Firefighters have extinguished the flames. However, motorists continue to face delays as emergency services remain on scene.
The busy company Stagecoach say that their S6 service to Swindon is affected.
“Due to severe congestion caused by an RTC on the A420, all of our services are experiencing delays of up to 40 minutes”, a spokesperson said.
Adding: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
