A woman has been charged with killing her passenger in a horror crash in Corsham.
19-year-old Rosa Taylor died after a Hyundai i10 she was travelling in was struck by a Scania tipper lorry on the A4, at B3109 Bradford Road, on 24 July 2025.
Three air ambulances were scrambled, with medics treating two women and a man for serious injuries. Despite their best efforts, Rosa was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, 26-year-old Abbey Ridgway, has since been charged with causing death by careless driving following a collision investigation.
The defendant, of Ennerdale in Skelmersdale, Lancashire, is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court tomorrow (24 March).
Rosa, who worked as a performer, had been making her way to an event when the smash occurred.
Previously her father Gareth Taylor paid tribute to his daughter on Facebook, describing her as “the most beautiful person inside and out”.
Adding: “She was the very definition of a spirit that shines brightly and dies young, loved by anyone who met her.”
He said his daughter had “passed away instantly at the scene and without pain”.
