UPDATE: Girl seriously hurt after ‘accidental’ fall from height in Chippenham
A major incident in Chippenham has sparked a huge emergency response.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Gladstone Road, near The Bridge House pub, at around 7.30pm this evening (Friday).
Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance was scrambled alongside several ambulance crews and an specialist Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) from Bristol.

Approximately 12 fire appliances from Wiltshire, supported by Avon Fire and Rescue Service, were also in attendance.
One casualty was treated by medics on an embankment directly below Gladstone Road Bridge. Speculation suggests the person fell from a height.
They were loaded into a stretcher and winched up to safety, before being treated in the back of an ambulance and rushed to hospital for urgent treatment.

At the height of the incident, there were around 25 emergency vehicles present.
Gladstone Road was closed in both directions and police cordoned off Chippenham Radial Gate and Lovers Walk.
Further details are unknown at this time.
