A Swindon road is closed after a serious collision ‘involving a pedestrian’.
Emergency services were called to a crash in Whitworth Road at around 6pm today (Sunday).
According to a witness, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle close to the Moonrakers pub – but this is yet to be confirmed by authorities.
Police have closed the road in both directions, between the Moonrakers crossroads and Pinehurst Road.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Please be aware of closures in place on Whitworth Road, near the Moonrakers Roundabout, in Swindon,, following a road traffic collision.
“Please avoid the area and expect delays. Thank you for your patience.”
