A specialist search team is scouring a Chippenham street after a boy was stabbed in broad daylight on Saturday afternoon (31 January).
A teenager was seriously wounded following a knife attack in London Road, near Royal Oak Close, at around 4pm – sparking a major emergency response.
Two air ambulances were among the 999 crews on scene, with the casualty rushed to hospital. Today (Sunday), a crime scene remains in place.

A specialist search team has been deployed, looking through bins, in drains and under vehicles at they work to locate evidence.
It’s thought the officers were looking for the weapon used, but they could also be hunting for items or clothing ditched by the attacker following the assault.

The suspect, a 15-year-old boy – is being questioned in custody. He was arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent.
Wiltshire Police previously said the suspect was 16 years old. This was incorrect, and their statement has since been updated.
The force are yet to provide a further update on the victim’s condition. Wiltshire 999s understands he was in critical condition earlier today.
A crime scene, between Larkham Rise and Phoenix Close, remains in place. Part of London Road is also closed to motorists.
