UPDATE: Trowbridge sex offender jailed over breach of strict court order
A pervert from Trowbridge is under investigation for incidents involving young girls – and has been charged with breaching a court order.
Daniel Davis was handed a 36-week suspended prison sentence for filming and observing people using the toilet at McDonald’s in Bath back in July.
At Bristol Magistrates’ Court on 14 August, the 33-year-old was slapped with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) – designed to protect the public from the risk of harm.
Alongside this, Davis, of Beech Grove, must complete 30 days of rehabilitation activity with the probation service and 100 hours of unpaid work.
He’s also banned from entering McDonald’s in Southgate, Bath for two years – while serving the suspended sentence order.
Now, Wiltshire Police have arrested the defendant in connection with two incidents involving young girls in the town.
The force said a man made inappropriate comments to four teenage children walking to school, and on another occasion a man approached an 11-year-old girl.
The defendant was subsequently charged with breaching his SHPO by being possession of a mobile telephone with integral camera on Monday (29 September).
He was remanded in police custody to appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday).
In relation to the alleged offending against young girls, he remains under investigation and has been released on bail, Wiltshire Police confirmed.
