Wanted teenager caught driving car arrested on suspicion of burglary

A wanted 16-year-old boy has been arrested after being spotted driving a car in Swindon.

Police officers in marked and unmarked vehicles stopped the blue Peugeot 206 at the Esso Garage on Rodbourne Road at just before 4pm yesterday afternoon.

The illegal driver was taken to the floor by officers as they made the arrest. He was taken to Gablecross Police Station on suspicion of burglary and remains in custody.

The car was seized by police.

No action was taken against a second teenage boy, who also travelling in the vehicle.
