A ‘young man’ sat on the edge of bridge in Swindon has closed a main road this evening.
Police officers are currently attending the Blunsdon junction of the A419 where the male is sat precariously on the overpass.
The A419 is closed while the emergency services attempt to talk him down safely.
One witness told Wiltshire 999s: “A young lad is sitting on the edge of the bridge. I’m literally crying for him here… my whole being wanted to stop and help.”
It is not yet clear when the road will reopen.
