A woman has suffered ‘life-changing injuries’ in a four-vehicle smash on the A346.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Ogbourne St George, near Marlborough, shortly 2.30pm today (Wednesday).
Wiltshire Police initially said that nobody was believed to have suffered any serious injuries – but now the force has confirmed a woman was seriously wounded.
She was rushed to hospital by land ambulance with potentially life-changing injuries, after being treated by Wiltshire Air Ambulance medics at the scene.
Three children involved were also taken to hospital, but as a precaution. They aren’t believed to have suffered serious injuries.
The road remains closed in both directions between Ogbourne St George and Chiseldon – and is likely to remain closed for some time.
