A woman was brought to safety after a ‘welfare incident’ in Swindon.
Police were called to reports of a person on a bridge over the A419 near Blunsdon last night (9 March).
Officers located a woman and she was brought to safety by around 9.30pm – an hour after the initial phone call made to the police regarding the ongoing incident.
In a statement, the force confirmed it sent officers to a “call regarding a concern for the welfare of a woman in the Blunsdon area” at around 8.30pm last night.
They said that officers “attended and located the woman safely”.
The news comes less than 24 hours after a woman was brought down from the Brunel West multi-storey car park in Farnsby Street, Swindon town centre.
It is not clear whether the incidents are connected.
