Police in Swindon are appealing for information regarding a racially aggravated public order offence that occurred in Eldene on Tuesday.
Officers were called to an address in Stubsmead shortly after midnight where it is reported that a female had been approached by two unknown men and been subjected to racial abuse as well as having a plastic recycling bag thrown at her.
One of the men is described as white, aged between 17 and 20 and was wearing a black, hooded jumper, grey joggers and a man bag, while the second was described as white with brown, curly hair.
PC Adam Mitchell said: “This type of behaviour and the language used towards the victim is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.
“We ask that anyone who may have witnessed the incident or know the two men in question to contact us.
“Similarly, if you have CCTV cameras from that area that may have caught something at the time of this incident or the two men approaching or leaving the scene, we’d like to hear from you.”
Anyone with any information that could assist officers with their investigations is asked to call 101 and quote crime reference number 54210024676.
