Police believe a woman was injured by a ball bearing at a castle in Wiltshire.
The victim was walking her dog close to Ludgershall Castle at around 4.30pm on Friday (5 November), when she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her leg.
Inspecting the area, she found a small circular mark where an object had penetrated through her clothing.
Officers investigating the incident believe it could have been caused by a ball bearing-type object – possibly fired from a gun or catapult.
“A female was walking her dog in the area when she felt a sharp pain to her leg. When she looked her clothing had been penetrated and she had a small circular mark”, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said.
They continued: “It is believed this was caused by a pellet or ball bearing of some kind.
