A woman’s been sexually assaulted by a man in Swindon – the pervert grabbed her bottom and put his hand up her top when she was walking alone earlier this month.

The 40-year-old was walking in an alleyway near to Cottington Close in Freshbrook when the man came up to her and committed the assault. She ran back towards Tesco after the attack.

The incident happened at just before 9pm on Monday 7 May.

AN E-FIT OF THE MAN WANTED BY POLICE

The man is described as having olive skin, approximately 5 foot 9 inches tall, or medium build and around 30 years old. He was wearing dark blue jeans a light blue or grey formal shirt.

PC Ben Moore said: “We would like to ask that anyone who was in the area at just before 9pm on 7 May who may have seen the incident, or a man matching the description given, to get in touch.

“I’d also ask you to take a look at the e-fit we have produced – if this person looks familiar we’d like to hear from you.

“This incident took place on a lone woman on a bright Spring evening in a residential area. It has left her feeling understandably shaken up.

“We are conducting a thorough investigation into this incident. Anyone with information should call police on 101.”
