A woman was found dead in her shower with ‘multiple traumatic injuries’, an inquest heard.

Retired beauty manager Susanna Thomas, 51, was discovered unresponsive by her husband when he returned home from work to their Swindon address.

Emergency services were called to the scene, but they pronounced her deceased at 5.10pm.

Wiltshire and Swindon Coroner’s Court, in Salisbury, heard that she suffered significant lacerations to her body and sustained severe blood loss as a result.

The cause of death was exsanguination, vascular transaction and multiple traumatic incised injuries.

Wiltshire Police confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

The coroner ordered toxicology tests and the inquest was adjourned.
