A woman has been charged with stealing over £50,000 from a Wiltshire charity.
Carol Rendell is due to appear at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on Friday (19 December).
The 57-year-old, of Orchard Gardens, Melksham, is accused of fraud by abuse of position.
It’s alleged she stole £56,441.70 from the Wharf Theatre charity in Devizes between 17 May 2019 and 6 February 2024 – while holding the role of accounts manager.
The first hearing of the case is due to take place at 2pm.
Due to the amount of money it’s alleged was stolen, the case could be sent to the crown court.
