A woman has been charged with repeatedly stabbing her boyfriend in a Wiltshire village.
Emergency services were called to East Street in Hindon, near Warminster, on Thursday (19 October) following reports of a man having been knifed.
Local residents provided urgent first aid to the victim, who was found topless in the street bleeding heavily – with two puncture wounds to his upper back.
The man, thought to be in his early 50s, was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.
39-year-old Joanne Stinchcombe was located and arrested by police two days later and has since been charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent.
No pleas were entered and the defendant, of East Street, Hindon, was remanded in custody at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court this afternoon (Monday).
She is due to appear at Salisbury Crown Court for a plea hearing on 24 November.
