A woman has been arrested following a serious collision in Swindon this morning. (25/11)
Officers were called to a collision involving a car and a pedestrian at approximately 8.20am on Akers Way.
The pedestrian – a 14-year-old boy – was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol in a critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle involved left the scene – enquiries have been ongoing all morning and we have now arrested a woman on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
She is currently in custody at Gablecross for questioning.
