A woman has been arrested after police were called to a disorder in Chippenham.
Officers raced to reports of the incident unfolding in Manor Road at around 6.45pm yesterday evening (Friday, 5 April).
According to a local, a person ‘attacked someone and smashed up their house’.
Police vehicles were abandoned in The Battens as officers tried to catch up with the alleged offender – who reportedly legged away from the scene.
The suspect, a woman aged in her 20s, was detained and handcuffed in Lords Mead.
A short time later, she was walked back to The Batten and placed into a police car.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police this morning (Saturday) confirmed that the woman is being held in custody on suspicion of criminal damage and two counts of common assault.
