A North Wiltshire woman has pleaded guilty to making and distributing indecent images of children.
Supported by her husband of more than 30 years, Alona Wickham appeared at Swindon Crown Court this afternoon where she admitted seven charges dating back to February and March last year.
The offences are as follows:
• Making an indecent image of a child in category A (involving penetrative sexual activity)
• Making an indecent image of a child in category B (non-penetrative sexual activity)
• Making an indecent image of a child in category C (images not falling within categories A or B)
• Distributing an indecent image of a child in category A
• Distributing four indecent images of a child in category B
• Distributing 13 indecent images of a child in category C
• Possessing an extreme pornographic image portraying an act of intercourse or oral sex with a dead or alive animal – namely snails and worms
Barrister John Dyer told the court the 51-year-old mother had been groomed by a man she met online at a low ebb. Proceedings are now active against the man.
She appeared visibly upset in court, sobbing as Judge Jason Taylor QC adjourned the case for a pre-sentence and psychiatric report.
Wickham of Neeld Close, Yatton Keynell, will return on 15 July for sentencing.
Tessa Hingston appeared for the Crown Prosecution Service.
