A woman has died following a serious incident at a house in Swindon.

Emergency services rushed to the property in Redcliffe Street, Rodbourne, at around 8.30pm last night (Wednesday, 14 September).

Wiltshire Air Ambulance’s specialist critical care medics attended the incident alongside local three ambulance crews.

Despite their best efforts, the woman, in her 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The air ambulance helicopter landed in Mannington Recreation Ground shortly before 9pm, before the specialist paramedics were transported to the emergency by police.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson confirmed its officers attended a “non-suspicious death of a woman in her 40s” at the location.

Adding: “Our thoughts are with her family and friends and we would ask that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.”

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 8.16pm on Wednesday (September 14) to an incident in Swindon.

“We sent three double-crewed land ambulances, an operations officer and an air ambulance.

“We conveyed one patient to Great Western Hospital, Swindon, by land ambulance.”
