A Wiltshire village playground is closed following a serious mole ‘infestation’.
Pest control experts are due to carry out urgent work in Collingbourne Kingston, near Marlborough, to remove the burrowing mammals which have covered the area in muddy mounds.
It’s not clear which company the local council are hiring, but according to Prokill, the moles can be moved and controlled with the use of licensed fumigants.
Mole-related pest control work can only be undertaken by specifically trained experts. The whole operation is expected to take place over several days.
Philip Palmer, Collingbourne Kingston Parish Council’s clerk, said: “The Collingbourne Kingston playground is temporarily closed for Pest Control
work following a mole infestation.
“We hope that this will only be for a few days until the moles have been cleared.”
