Wiltshire Search and Rescue has set up base in a Swindon car park tonight as they hunt for a missing dementia sufferer.
87-year-old Nora went missing from her home in the Park South area this evening, sparking an immediate search by police.
More than 35 specially trained volunteers from the search charity are based out Cavendish Square, working to locate her as the operation enters the early hours of Thursday.
She suffers from dementia and requires medication. Police say they are concerned about her welfare and officers are currently conducting extensive enquiries to locate her.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “It is believed she is wearing a light beige coat, black trousers, black shoes and glasses. She has short grey hair.
“Anyone with information about Nora’s whereabouts should call 101 and quote log number 210 of today. In an emergency, call 999.”
