Wiltshire Police says it has launched an investigation after a 15-year-old girl was found unconscious in Tidworth on Saturday night.
Police officers from Hampshire reportedly came across a group of young people carrying a lifeless person across a road. On seeing the police, they made off from the scene, leaving the girl in the road – unconscious and foaming at the mouth.
The teenager, who is believed to have taken a drug known as ‘pingers’, was rushed to hospital following the incident in Station Road at around 9.45pm. She was later discharged.
Wiltshire Police says it is investigating the incident, but no arrests have been made.
“We were called to assist our colleagues from Hampshire Police with a medical incident at Station Road, Tidworth, on Saturday, October 10, at approximately 9.45pm”, a spokesperson said.
Adding: “A 15-year-old girl, who was believed to have taken an illegal substance, was taken to Salisbury District Hospital as a precaution and later discharged.
“We are carrying out enquiries to understand the circumstances of what happened and identify what the girl may have taken and who supplied it to her.
