A Wiltshire Police officer has been charged with drink driving after his vehicle broke down on the Magic Roundabout in Swindon.
PC Ted Andrews is due to appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on 4 November.
The 19-year-old, who works as a response officer in Swindon, was allegedly found to have driven a vehicle while over the prescribed alcohol limit.
It came after he was found to be the driver of a broken down vehicle on the Magic Roundabout on the evening of 20 September – while off-duty.
Wiltshire Police has confirmed the officer was suspended from duty following the incident.
