The Wiltshire Air Ambulance helicopter has returned from its annual service after five weeks.

The Bell 429 GlobalRanger aircraft was taken to Thruxton Airfield on 3 October for its annual service – which was expected to last up to three weeks.

On Tuesday (8 November), the charity was reunited with the life-saving chopper – two weeks later than first thought.

Since its return, the aircraft has landed in Chippenham, Cirencester, Devizes, Warminster and Frome. However, it’s thought that some of the landings were training exercises.

It also touched down at Salisbury District Hospital, Southampton General Hospital and Southmead Hospital in Bristol.
