A parking warden had plaster poured over her by an unhappy resident following a ticket being issued in Swindon earlier this week.
Swindon Borough Council said that “that abuse towards our staff won’t be tolerated” following the attack – which is one of three in the area in the past four days.
A council spokesperson said: “As can be seen in the picture, one was even covered in plaster by a resident who was unhappy at having been given a ticket. Aside from this being completely unacceptable, plaster can cause irritation to the skin and eyes as well as respiratory issues.
“As people return to work and more shops and venues reopen, we understand that people will be using their cars more and need to find a place to park. But this isn’t an excuse for bad parking – cars found parking dangerously or without a valid permit will be ticketed.
“As a reminder, Penalty Charge Notices will only be issued to cars parked dangerously, on yellow lines, in disabled bays, to non-permit holders, or in car parks with no payment or permit.
“We know the vast majority of people would never dream of assaulting our staff. But for the small few who do, we will involve the police.”
