Sgt Will Ayres of the Road Policing Unit said: “This was a great effort by all officers involved in targeting a multitude of offences to disrupt those road users, who are a minority, intent on flouting the law.
“I want to remind the public of the dangers of drug driving, which is one of the fatal four reasons that increases the chances of a road traffic collision resulting in serious injuries or a fatality.
“It severely impacts your ability as a driver to judge time and distance and you should never get behind the wheel of a vehicle under the influence of drugs.
“This week also marks a national campaign to ensure seatbelts are being worn by motorists, which is why it is disappointing to issue six fixed penalty notices relating to this.
“We will continue this activity across the county to target those putting road users at unnecessary risk and ensure Wiltshire’s roads are safe.”
