Two dogs have been seized after a teenage boy was mauled in an attack near Devizes.
Emergency services raced to reports of the youngster being bitten by the out of control pets in Ryeleaze, Potterne, at around 9.30pm on Thursday (9 April).
A 14-year-old boy sustained serious injuries after the dogs escaped from a nearby property. He was rushed to hospital for urgent treatment.

Armed officers and a dog unit attended the scene to bring the loose animals under control, seizing both dogs while an investigation into the attack is carried out.
A woman was seen tearful after police allowed her to say goodbye to the pets – as they were caged in the rear of a police dog van.
The owner of the dog has been identified and will be interviewed under caution. Wiltshire Police say that the they are still working to confirm the breeds.
The force added that the injured boy’s wounds are not thought to be life-changing.

Devizes Neighbourhood Inspector Simon Garrett said: “We appreciate how horrendous and distressing this incident must have been for the victim, his family and those who witnessed it and we are taking it very seriously.
“The two dogs involved have been seized and taken to secure kennels and their owner has been identified.
“Enquiries are ongoing to understand the full circumstances of the incident.
“We understand the significant concern it will have caused and additional officers will be in the area for reassurance.

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust confirmed that two double-crewed ambulances and an operations officer were sent to the scene.
They added that paramedics took one patient to the Royal United Hospital in Bath for treatment.
